Dental Hygiene

The Dental Hygiene faculty and staff of Rowan College at Burlington County welcome your interest in the profession. According to the Department of Labor Statistics, dental hygiene is listed among the top twenty of the fastest growing careers of the future. Dental hygiene is an exciting and dynamic field for those interested in working with their heads, hearts and hands. This program prepares students for a career as a Registered Dental Hygienist by combining classroom instruction with laboratory and clinical experience. It is a rigorous and demanding program, both physically and academically, providing students with a knowledge base to integrate manual skills with the delivery of high-quality oral health care services.

We wish you success in attaining your academic goals, and if we can be of service in answering questions or assisting you in any way.

At its July 31, 2014 meeting the Commission on Dental Accreditation adopted a resolution to continue the accreditation status of "approval without reporting requirements" for the dental hygiene program offered by the Rowan College at Burlington County.  We need to add that the American Dental Association's Commission on Dental Accerditation is the accrediting body for our program and they can be ccontacted by mail at 211 East Chicago Avenue, Chicago, Illinois, 60611 or by phone 1-800-621-8099, ext. 2718.

For the 2018 graduating class we have a 100% pass rate for licensing exams for all students who avail themselves of every opportunity to test.
