Dental Hygiene (AAS.DHY) Curriculum

The dental hygiene curriculum is designed to provide learning opportunities through classroom, laboratory and clinical instruction. The practice of dental hygiene is extremely science oriented. Therefore a strong background in biological sciences is required. The non-dental hygiene courses should be taken prior to admission as this is one of the criteria the admissions committee reviews. Anatomy and Physiology, and Microbiology must be taken within ten years of beginning the program.

Classes are web-enhanced and portions of the courses require online access.
