Distance Education

National Distance Learning Week

In observance of National Distance Learning Week at RCBC, we would like to offer a distance education scholarship, to a new or current student, in order to increase the awareness of various courses and degrees that can be completed online here at RCBC. This is also to promote the opportunity for students that normally would not be able to physically attend a class on campus, an alternative to receiving their education. Online courses provide flexibility and convenience to students in completing their classes. We are proud of our institution, instructors and the 120 courses that are available online here at RCBC. Our Distance Education Department has been around since 1978 and we currently offer 14 associate degrees and 6 certificates fully online. Please join us in celebrating this week with us.

About Distance Education

Distance Education at RCBC was started in 1978 to enable students to earn college credits without having to attend class on campus.  Today, 30-40% of all RCBC students are taking online classes during each semester.  Seventy-five percent of the 2014-2015 graduating class took at least one online class!  Students enjoy the flexibility and convenience these courses provide.  Distance education courses are fully accredited college courses.  Currently there are over 90 distance education courses offered online!  RCBC is committed to adding new courses and upgrading course technology at every opportunity.
