Green Degree Programs

Rowan College at Burlington County offers various, comprehensive degrees, and academic certificate programs in the following areas:

  • Alternative Energy Technologies
  • Sustainability

In today's labor market the types of job skills required are rapidly shifting, and there is a growing demand for green jobs. RCBC is dedicated to developing higher education curricula, promote training opportunities, and host informational education events to promote scientific literacy and participation in these growing areas. Our faculty are committed to providing both the academic and hands-on experience that will enable students to develop the knowledge and skills necessary for successful employment in the emerging "green" job market.

There are more than 20,000 companies in New Jersey that are either already performing green functions or may "turn green." Combined, these industries employ almost 192,000 workers, which is five percent of New Jersey's total employment.
