Campus Emergency Update

Thank you for your continued cooperation with today’s closure of the PE Building.  Law enforcement officials continue to investigate threats that were made to a group of Burlington County College employees who work at the physical education center on our Pemberton campus.

The threats, which were non-specific in nature, were sent to the personal cell phones of some physical education center employees yesterday afternoon, Sunday, April 28.The College closed the physical education building today but it will be re-opened tomorrow, Tuesday, April 30. Operations for the college are proceeding as usual.

The College has increased public safety patrols on the campus.  Additionally, the College continues to work closely with all officials, with special attention to where BCC offers the majority of our classes in Pemberton Township, Mt. Laurel, Willingboro and Mt. Holly.

The investigation is being conducted by the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office, the Burlington County Sheriff’s Department, the Pemberton Township Police Department and the Burlington County College Public Safety Department.

Because this is an ongoing investigation, no other details are available at this time. As always, please report any suspicious activity to Public Safety at ext. 1100.
