Rowan College at Burlington County welcomes all students that are interested in continuing their education whether it is a few courses, a certificate program, or an associate degree.

Whether you haven’t taken a course in years, nervous about going back to school, concerned about time and money, RCBC understands what is important to you and takes pride in providing an education that is affordable and of the highest quality.

RCBC understands that as an adult learner you may have previous college experience or work experience that can go towards completing your degree.

RCBC Accepts:

  • Up to 49 previous college credits
    • Transfer credits must:
      • Have a grade of a "C" or better
      • Come from a regionally accredited institution
  • College Level Examination Program (CLEP) Scores
  • AP Scores
  • Work and Life Experience
  • WES Evaluated Transcripts (international students)
  • Police/Fire Academy Training
  • Official Military Transcripts

Admissions Process

Step 1: Apply
Students interested in completing their associate degree, a certificate, or just take a few courses are able to apply online at no charge. To complete the free online application, click here.

  • 3-5 days after submission of the application, students will receive an email with their RCBC Student ID and next steps

Step 2: Submitting Documents

  • Please sent your high school transcripts to our Registration Office

  • Additional transcripts, test scores, or official documents (if applicable)

Step 3: Take the Placement Exam (The Accuplacer)

Who is exempt from taking the ACCUPLACER Exam?

Students whom have met the following benchmarks on the SAT, ACT, PARCC exam, or Specific Prior College Coursework are not required to take the ACCUPLACER exam:

SAT

  • Prior to March 2016 students with scores of: Math Score of 530 or higher and a Critical Reading Score of 540 or higher
  • After March 2016 students with scores of: Math Score of 500 or better and a Evidence Based Reading and Writing Score of 450 or better.

PARCC

  • MATH PARCC minimum score of 750 (Level 4) on Algebra II exam
  • ENGLISH PARCC minimum score of 750 (Level 4) on English Language Arts/Literacy Grade 11 exam

ACT

  • Students with ACT scores of 23 or higher in Reading and 20 or higher in Math are not required to take the ACCUPLACER exam.

ASVAB

  • Students with a score of 65 or higher are not required to take the ACCUPLACER exam.

Prior College

  • Students who have taken college-level English and Math courses with a grade of a C or higher are not required to take the ACCUPLACER exam.

Step 4: Choosing Courses
After you have completed steps 1 - 3 you will need to meet with an academic advisor to choose your courses and create a plan of study. Our academic advisors are available on a walk-in basis only and are available at our Pemberton Campus, Mount Laurel Campus, and Willingboro Center.

Step 5: Registration
Students will meet with our Registration Office to formally enroll in their courses. The Registration Office is available in Pemberton, Mount Laurel, and Willingboro.

Tuition and fees must be paid by the payment deadline.

Note: If you do not plan to attend RCBC after you register for courses, you must formally withdrawal with Registration.

Immunizations

State of New Jersey Requires Immunizations The State of New Jersey requires all full-time (12 or more credits), degree seeking students provide proof of immunizations against measles, mumps, and rubella, and hepatitis b. Proof of immunizations should be certified by your health care provider, utilizing the “Certificate of Immunization” form.

Students who are exempt from the immunization requirements on grounds of medical contraindication, religious reasons, or age (students born before 1957 are exempt from MMR requirements only), should submit the “Certificate of Immunization”, indicating the type of exemption, along with supporting documentation as required. Students may be admitted and enrolled on a provisional basis for their first term if required immunization documentation is not available at the time of registration.
