Current Graduation Ceremony Information

WEATHER UPDATE:

Inclement weather cannot dampen the spirit of our graduates, but this week’s extensive rain has affected our plans to hold our first graduation out on the quad.

The graduation team has been very nimble in crafting a plan that will ensure all graduates have an opportunity to participate in the ceremony. We appreciate your cooperation and patience with this inconvenience.

Health Sciences ceremony will occur at 5 p.m. Thursday, but inside the Votta Hall auditorium. Friday's Liberal Arts and Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics ceremony will be split into four ceremonies throughout the day all held inside Votta Hall. See below for details:

  • 9:30 a.m. – Business, Education and Law majors with remarks from Student Government Association President Altana West.
    • Majors include the following: Accounting, Accounting Technology, Business Administration, Business Management, Business Technology, Criminal Justice, Education and Paralegal.
  • 12:30 p.m. – Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics majors with remarks from Burlington County Freeholder Director Kate Gibbs.
    • Majors include the folllowing: Alternative Engineering Technology, Biology, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Computer Automated Drafting, Computer Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Servicing and Networking Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Networking Support / Servicing, Construction Management, Electronics Engineering Technology, Engineering, Engineering Technology, Information Assurance and Cybersecurity, Math, Physics, Sustainable Energy Studies, Fashion Product Merchandising, Graphic Design and Digital Media, Fashion Design, Culinary, Pastry, Cooking and Baking, and Hospitality.
  • 3:30 p.m. – Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences majors with remarks from Valedictorian Madison Weller.
    • Majors include the following: Art, Photography, American Sign Language, Communication Arts, English, History, Music, Journalism, Liberal Arts, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Communication Arts, Entertainment Technologies, Human Services, and International Studies.
  • 6:30 p.m. – Liberal Arts and Sciences majors with remarks from keynote speaker The Rev. Aubrey Fenton.
    • Majors include the following: Liberal Arts and Sciences majors (AS.LSC degrees only).

Guest Information

Seating

Because of the limited number of seats in Votta Hall for graduates and their guests, each graduate will be given two tickets at Thursday’s graduation rehearsal scheduled for 10 a.m. in Votta Hall. 

Additional guests are welcome to watch a livestream of the broadcast on our TV monitors in Laurel Hall, TEC, and the Student Success Center. The stream will also be available off campus at rcbc.edu.

Balloons are not allowed in Votta Hall during the ceremony. 

Parking
Parking will be available throughout the campus. 

Live Stream
All ceremonies will be live streamed by visiting rcbc.edu.

Amenities
The college’s bookstore will be open during the ceremony.

The dining kiosk in the Student Success Center will be open Thursday until 7:30 pm and Friday from 9 am - 1:30 pm. 

Student athletes and clubs will be hosting concessions at each ceremony.

Final Cap and Gown Pickup

Caps and Gowns are available for pick up at the Mount Laurel Campus Bookstore during normal business hours found at https://www.bkstr.com/burlington-mtlaurelstore/store-info-contact-us.
Final pick up is Thursday, May 17 at 10 am. 

Graduates receive one cap, gown, tassel and hood at no charge. Extra tassels, honor chords (for honor students), and veterans’ stoles (for veterans) are available for an additional charge from the bookstore.

Commencement Rehearsal

Thursday, May 17 at 10 a.m.

All students participating in any of the commencement ceremonies must attend rehearsal. Tickets for two guests will be distributed at rehearsal. Students are to meet in the Votta Hall Auditorium. You do not need to bring or wear your Cap and Gown to rehearsal.

Note: You will need your Student ID to pick up your name card for Commencement.

Health Sciences Commencement

Thursday, May 17 at 5 p.m. inside Votta Hall.

Health Sciences students should arrive on campus at 3 p.m. on May 17 and report to Votta Hall for line up and final instructions. 

Liberal Arts and Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Commencement

Friday, May 18 at 9:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. inside Votta Hall (see above for details).

Students are required to be at Votta Hall one hour before their ceremony and cannot enter the auditorium prior to this time.

REMINDER: Do not forget your Grad Images name card (provided to you at rehearsal) on your Commencement day.

Please be sure to apply for graduation by logging into your student WebAdvisor account upon registering for your final coursework.

Commencement DVD Order Form

DVDs will be mailed in June to the address listed on the order form. Please order your DVD by the ceremony date and time.
