BCC Helps Career-Minded Students Dress for Success

BCC's Dress for Success

More than a dozen graduating students have been selected to receive new professional attire and haircuts to match their polished job skills and resumes acquired at Burlington County College (BCC), courtesy of the college’s upcoming fifth annual Dress for Success event.
BCC’s Career Services Department and BCC Foundation, in partnership with Liberty Bell Bank, will present professional makeovers of the students at a networking event at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 23 at the Enterprise Center at BCC.
“Burlington County’s Workforce Development Initiative includes every detail that will ensure our residents are well-equipped for the modern workforce,” said Burlington County Freeholder Director Mary Ann O’Brien. “Burlington County College certainly meets that goal by providing outstanding educational programs, career training and all of the skills needed to master the interview process leading to their rewarding career.”
The event includes training on professional networking and socializing.
“Our classroom instruction is exceptional, and our commitment to students goes beyond the classroom,” said BCC President Paul Drayton. “Burlington County College is dedicated to preparing a student for career success in every facet and I’m excited to see some of our successful students transform into aspiring professionals before our eyes.”
Students qualified for Dress for Success if they:

  • Were slated to graduate in May with a GPA of 2.75 or higher
  • Had an approved resume by the college’s Career Services
  • Attended a networking skills workshop

“Burlington County College students work very hard toward pursuing their educational and career goals and our office is excited to help them complete their professional package,” said BCC’s Director of Career Services Roseanne Buckley. “This event gives students the finishing touches they need to take their next step.”
