Echosmith Performs Live at RCBC Nov. 13

The indie pop band, best known for their hit “Cool Kids”-- Warner Bros. Records’ fifth-highest-selling digital song of 2014 with 1.3 million downloads, will perform live at Rowan College at Burlington County’s Pemberton campus on Friday, Nov. 13. Tickets are now available to the public.

The band of siblings from southern California have been gaining popularity after the release of their debut album, “Talking Dreams.” They have performed with artists like Taylor Swift, were named one of MTV's Artists To Watch, played on the Vans Warped Tour and made their late night TV premiere on Conan. Their sound has been described as bouncy, dreamy, optimistic, and poppy.

Members of the community can purchase tickets for $35 each.

“We are excited to open up the Echosmith concert to the community,” said Rowan College at Burlington County President Paul Drayton. “We have had incredible performers from American Idol’s Phillip Phillips to Pitbull, to “The Boss” Bruce Springsteen play at the college, offering our students and community exceptional on-campus experiences. Echosmith has been performing to sold-out shows, so we are encouraging those who want to see them live at RCBC to get their tickets before they’re gone.”

The concert will be held at the Physical Education Center at the Pemberton campus, 601 Pemberton Browns Mills Road, at 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 13. Individuals may purchase up to four tickets and must be at least 12 years old to attend.

To purchase tickets, please visit rcbc.edu/event/echosmith. RCBC students can purchase discounted tickets through their WebAdvisor accounts. One lucky RCBC student who purchases tickets to the Echosmith concert before the end of October will win backstage passes for two to meet the band.

The concert is sponsored by the Office of Student Activities. For more information, please email studentactivities@bcc.edu or call 856-222-9311, ext. 2251.
