New Paramedic Science Students

Applying to RCBC does not automatically allow you to enroll in paramedic studies.  Admission to the Paramedic Sciences program is selective through a separate application and a sponsorship interview process. Email for more information.

MICU regulation N.J.A.C. 8:41- 4.1, states that in order to enter into paramedic training in New Jersey, all potential candidates must:

  1. Be at least 18 years of age;
  2. Have a high school diploma or GED;
  3. Hold a current and valid EMT certification;
  4. Hold a current American Heart Association, American Red Cross or National Safety Council CPR certification;
  5. Be physically capable of performing all required skills of a paramedic student; and
  6. Not have been convicted of any crime, or an offense involving drugs or moral turpitude.  An applicant may apply for a waiver of this requirement from the Commissioner of health or designee.
