Services & Academic Accommodations

The Office of Student Support and Disability Services can offer you the reasonable academic accommodations listed below in partnership with your professors, RCBC's Career Adaptive Learning Literacy (CALL) Lab and RCBC's Tutoring Center depending on your specific disability/disabilities.

  1. Use of the Adaptive Technology Lab located in the Mount Laurel Campus’ Technology & Engineering Center (TEC) in Room 100. Hours are Monday through Friday: 8:45 am - 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm. The lab features adaptive technology such as (not an exhaustive list):

    • JAWS screen reader software

    • Dragon Dictate software

    • Topaz Print Magnifier

    • Aladdin Genie Print Magnifier

    • Intellikeys enlarged keyboard

    • Duxbury Braille Translation software

    • Juliet Pro Braille Embosser

    • ZoomText screen magnification software

    • Electronic books

    • FM Amplifiers

  2. One-on-one or group tutoring. For tutoring assistance, click here.

  3. Extended time for testing (time varies per student and disability)

  4. Testing at the Test Center

  5. Scribe and/or reader for tests (at least one week notice must be given to our Office in order to allow for the coordination of scribes and readers)

  6. Use of a basic calculator for tests

  7. Use of a tape recorder for lectures

  8. Use of a lap top during class

  9. Other reasonable academic adjustments
