Veterans and women graduate from two new RCBC programs prepared for careers

Rowan College at Burlington County’s (RCBC) first Solar Ready Vets program graduates, and the third graduating class of the college’s Women in Sustainable Employment (WISE) program, were celebrated on Thursday, Jan. 12 at the Enterprise Center in Mount Laurel.

Big changes coming to RCBC in 2017

In order to further her career aspirations in the medical field, Edgewater Park resident Hayley Brunetta, took advantage of one of the biggest changes coming to Rowan College at Burlington County in 2017.  

 “I did the math and it just makes sense,” said 19-year-old Brunetta of the 3+1 program.

RCBC student wins National Distance Learning Week Scholarship

George N. Togba Jr., 28, of Burlington City, sees Rowan College at Burlington County’s online classes as an essential part of his success.

He is the winner of RCBC’s Distance Learning scholarship, which the college and the RCBC Foundation, awarded in recognition of National Distance Learning Week in November.

Rowan College at Burlington County will hold a Returning Adult Information Session on Thursday Dec.  15, at 6:30 p.m., on its Mount Laurel Campus, Enterprise Center, room 142.

RCBC welcomes all students that are interested in continuing their education whether it is a few courses, a certificate program or an associate degree.

The Solar Ready Vets program at Rowan College at Burlington County (RCBC), developed by the U.S. Department of Energy, offers eligible veterans free career training in the solar energy industry.

Rowan College at Burlington County’s English department, with participation from the college’s Creative Writers Guild, invites the community to a reading with author Kirsty Gunn on Wednesday, Nov. 16. Gunn will read from her latest book, “My Katherine Mansfield Project,” in the college’s Laurel Hall Lounge at 5 p.m.
