Graduating with Honors means you have met the outstanding academic achievement requirements set forth by your academic division. This applies only to individuals receiving Associate of Arts (A.A.), Associate of Fine Arts (A.F.A.), Associate of Science (A.S.)  or an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree.

*Honors designations will appear on both your official transcript and your diploma.

* If you are a member of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), a seal will also appear on your diploma.

Honors Criteria

  1. A student must have completed a minimum of 30 institutional credits at RCBC.
  2. A student must have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or higher.

Types of Honors

  • cum laude - GPA 3.50 - 3.74
  • magna cum laude - GPA 3.75 - 3.89
  • summa cum laude - GPA 3.90+
