“This opportunity allows us to support the arts while honoring our commitment to preserve the college’s heritage that has forged a path for Rowan College at Burlington County to become the top community college in New Jersey,” RCBC President Dr. Michael A. Cioce said. “The Sculpture Walk adds a new dimension to the quad for students and the community to enjoy.”


According to Rhonda Palmer’s high school yearbook, she wanted to be a doctor, teacher and lawyer. Although she didn’t check off all those boxes, her drive and determination over the years has enabled her to earn four degrees, visit five countries, help local youth and earn recognition as the 2019 Burlington County Outstanding Woman of the Year in Education.


Rowan College at Burlington County alumnus Blake Dunbar is intrigued by the human experience. Human behaviors, personalities, thoughts and emotions are just a handful of topics that drove him to pursue an education in psychology.


I got married in the summer of 2008. That year, I truly became a foodie. My husband and I would explore various neighborhoods to find new and exciting restaurants, and eat some really excellent food!


“The teachers here are very helpful and informative, plus you can’t beat the price,” Biderberg said. “At Virginia Tech, you would have hundreds of people in your class. I enjoy the smaller classes and getting to know my professors, some who even teach at larger universities as well.”


“The flexibility in choosing classes is one of the best aspects of attending RCBC. One semester I may take three classes and another I may enroll in only one in order to explore my other interests, such as community service and traveling with my family,” Leesa said.


Increasing access to hands-on job opportunities for underrepresented youth can bridge the gap between where a person comes from and where they land within the job market.


“My life has come full circle,” Joseph said. “I am now in charge of the program that gave me the career I love.”


Within three years, William Pepe transitioned from being a temporary employee to an executive advisor at Multi-Housing Depot, an apartment and multifamily supplier. His strong work ethic and attention to detail, coupled with his completion of Rowan at Burlington County’s advanced manufacturing courses, paved the way for several growth opportunities in his career.
