NJ STARS II Information

Eligible NJ STARS graduates can take advantage of NJ STARS II and gain up to $2,500 annually toward a bachelor’s degree. Currently, there are 38 four-year colleges and universities in New Jersey participating in NJ STARS II. In order to be NJ STARS II eligible, a student must:

  • Earn their associate degree with a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or better, having all the while maintained NJ STARS eligibility
  • Successfully transfer to a participating New Jersey four-year college or university to earn their bachelor degree
  • Complete the FAFSA and HESAA requirements
  • Enroll in a full-time course of study each term

In order to reach NJ STARS II eligibility, students should continue to meet with the NJ STARS Coordinator once per term to track academic progress and financial aid deadlines.
