Classroom Presentations Requests 

Staff from the Office of Career Preparation and Experiential Learning are available to deliver classroom presentations during your class time on topics such as experiential learning opportunities, career and major exploration, or available career resources such as Handshake (our new employment and internship recruitment platform). The request form can be found here. We kindly ask for 2 weeks' notice.

Course Syllabus Ideas:
When creating your syllabus, consider incorporating career-related information and assignments to your courses, such as assignments that incorporate FOCUS 2. Contact the Office of Career Preparation & Experiential Learning for templates, resources, and support. Also, please consider including some of our upcoming career events as part of your course syllabi.

Experiential Learning at RCBC

Experiential learning encompasses hands-on, practical experiences that connects to academic and career goals to further develop skills learned in the classroom. These experiences include internships, service-learning, and undergraduate research. Handshake

Direct Students Handshake 
Handshake is an easy-to-use career tool that allows students to search and apply for jobs and internships, view upcoming career events, schedule career advising appointments, and search organizations that recruit at Rowan College at Burlington County. Students can access Handshake through BaronOne. (note: faculty & staff will not have access to the Handshake single sign on feature)

Join Handshake Today!
Creating a “test” student account is the best way to experience firsthand what students see in Handshake. If you would like to gain access to view the jobs and events available to students at RCBC, please complete the registration found at the link below where you will create a student/alumni account. Please select the option in the top right corner that states "No account? Sign up here."

1. Log into Handshake.

2. Click Profile tab. 

3. Complete your profile. Continue to login through Handshake through this same method.

4. Ensure you select Rowan College at Burlington County through the School Settings tab.

Once your account is approved, do not use the SSO option to log in. Instead, click on the login option below that states: “You can also sign in with your email address.”

Course Syllabi Ideas:
Consider incorporating career-related information and stay informed of available internship opportunities for potential students, on campus events/positions, workshops, etc. Please consider sharing these resources with students.
