
Current Courses Available:
This program provides the mandatory 24-hour classroom training required to be a licensed armed or unarmed security officer within the state of New Jersey. This program must be completed within 30 days of the initial application for the Security Officer Registration Act license. The classes are schedule monthly for three (3) consecutive Saturdays. Students are responsible for the state application ($75.00) fees and fingerprinting ($66.00).
This program prepares individuals for entry-level positions in a 911 Dispatch Call Center and provides industry-recognized credentials from the National Emergency Communications Institute (NECI), Emergency Medical Dispatcher (EMD) and the American Heart Association (BLS AHA).
Eligibility Requirements:
· High school diploma or HSE (High School Equivalency).
· Satisfactory background check and drug screening for employment.
This course is intended for people in the healthcare profession and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills (students, EMT's, doctors, nurses, etc.). Training includes:
- High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
- The AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components
- Important early use of an AED
- Effective ventilations using a barrier device
- Importance of teams in multi rescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multi rescuer CPR
- Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants
Successful completion of the course provides a 2-year American Heart Association certification.
