It looks like we’re going to be wearing facemasks for a while, so you may as well get one that’s comfortable, breathable and stylish. Luckily, Rowan College at Burlington County students and instructors have stepped up to fulfill this urgent need, one stitch at a time.

Join us on April 29, for our seventh Facebook Town Hall, as we invite RCBC student Cheryl Jackson and adjunct math instructor Rosemary Fajgier, to speak about their experiences making facemasks for the local and national community.

Cheryl Jackson, an RCBC fashion design student has fulfilled orders for her friends, family, the Willingboro Fire Department and the Willingboro EMS. She's also been contacted by individual police officers across the state to process their orders.

Meanwhile, RCBC math instructor Rosemary Fajgier, who is also chairman of the board of directors of the American Sewing Guild, has helped to rally 13,000 members nationally to make facemasks for various medical facilities and organizations. She personally makes them for Legacy, a treatment organization located just down the road from RCBC and Deborah Hospital.

Tune in to our Facebook Live at 1 pm to catch the broadcast. As always, we welcome your questions throughout the livestream and also at rcbc.edu/coronavirus.
