Tyshea Griffin Raquel Crooke and Jonathan Baruti

Mount Laurel, New Jersey—Rowan College at Burlington County basketball players Tyshea Griffin, of Willingboro, Raquel Crooke, of Spain and Jonathan Baruti, of the Congo, picked up Division II Region XIX and Division II Garden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) honors.

Griffin, a graduate of Willingboro High School, is a freshman guard with the Lady Barons and was named to both the Second Team All-Region XIX and First Team All-GSAC. She finished the season 20th in NJCAA Division II basketball, with 19 points per game.

Crooke, a freshman who played both forward and guard, earned First Team All-GSAC honors.  Crooke ranked 6th in the nation for offensive and defensive stats per 40 minutes.

For the Baron men, Baruti, a sophomore forward for the Barons, was named to the Second Team All-Region XIX and Second Team All-GSAC. He ranked 4th in the nation with a field goal percentage of 64.7% and 2nd in the nation for rebounds with an average of 13 per game.

Unfortunately, both squads fell short of their playoff hopes this season.
