“During the Deborah internship program, I was able to work in the kitchen consistently preparing food to exact standards and nutrition, serving the employees in the café and even had the opportunity to interact with many of the patients,” Rivera shared. “It was intriguing for me to be able to work with these specific menus for patients' needs, diets and restrictions.”

“You would not believe how many classes I’ve taken at RCBC that correspond directly to my job,” Koger said. “I find myself using my golden phrase ‘I did this in class; let me use it as a reference’ often. So, seeing this all in action only made me more driven and increased my tenacity toward learning, which has brought me to where I am today.”

“I greatly enjoy being at RCBC,” Berry said. “Math is not the easiest or the most favorite subject for many students; however, there was a very touching moment last semester. Due to COVID-19, many students were missing classes due to illnesses. I knew that I had to do something different to make sure those students did not fall behind, and so I spent additional individual time with them virtually. It helped me get to know them better and see how they really felt about math. On the last day of the semester, before the final, I came to class and was amazed to see that my students brought coffee, doughnuts and a cake for me as a surprise! I was very touched and happy.”

"She jumped right in and helped my students get what they needed (ID cards, parking passes and course textbooks). She was so patient and helpful and knew I needed some support in helping and directing my students. I am forever grateful for her. My students accomplished a lot that class because of her help and guidance.”

“I see so much potential for Saxbys to become a part of RCBC life,” Taylor said. “It may simply be a cafe, but the people behind it have the ability to create strong connections to the community with the space (and coffee) that Saxbys provides. It gives us an opportunity to make mistakes, grow and learn together within a working environment."

“I had already moved to Burlington County, so I figured that it would make sense to look at the local schools,” Chulsky-Lopez shared. “I visited the RCBC campus and fell in love. And RCBC does in fact allow you to fully complete a degree online, which I also loved. But I did end up going in person to one class.”

“I personally believe every single person should minor in communications,” Dr. Osmond shared. “Soft skills get you in the door for any job, and the more you can understand about human connection, the more opportunities will come your way. People always talk about ‘fake it til you make it.’ I’m a big believer in that because when you practice anything enough, it changes your mindset and eventually you become it. It really works.”

“If we’ve learned anything over the past few years, it’s that rallying behind our community during a time of need benefits everyone,” RCBC’s Director of Dental Hygiene Gail Vasilenko said. “This is a time for us to come together to really make a positive impact on children within our community.”
