“Going into this, I had no idea what to expect, but I am happy I chose to do so. I’ve met so many amazing people who are teaching me things I never thought I would ever get the chance to learn. They are some of the kindest and down-to-earth people you could ever come in contact with, and they’ve made such an impact on my life in such a short amount of time. I am very thankful that RCBC chose me to take on this great journey.”
“We care about the health and well-being of all of our patients, and since the onset of the pandemic, we’ve implemented COVID-specific protocols, including touchless temperature checks, a virtual waiting area, mask requirements, frequent disinfecting with medical-grade cleaners and more,” RCBC’s Director of Dental Hygiene Gail Vasilenko said. “Unfortunately, tooth decay doesn’t take a break during a pandemic, but neither will we. We look forward to serving our community during this great time of need.”
“We’re proud to be recognized by the Association of Technology, Management and Engineering”, said Dr. Edem Tetteh, Dean of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). “Rowan College at Burlington County provides students with the best education opportunities possible, and it’s rewarding to receive affirmation from such a reputable organization.”
“Students ask me all the time about how to fill out the FAFSA, which loans are available, what HESAA does and various financial aid questions, so discussing these topics in a public forum will definitely be beneficial to our community,” Berdugo-Hernandez said.
“We’ve been so appreciative to RCBC for all of the drives and collecting so much during this pandemic. Although globally we are not collecting the same amount of blood as is typical during this time, we are consistently running at the same places over and over which helps fill the need,” Concilio-Regan shared.
Hear from RCBC President Dr. Michael A. Cioce and RCBC’s Foundation Chair, Karen Albanese, as they join RCBC Foundation scholarship recipients Christina House, Alexandra Pantry and current Pastry Arts student Collin Rieser, to discuss why it’s important to give back to students.
“I chose the right school, the right course of study and had some great guidance along the way. Nicolette DiPietro (RCBC’s Interim Director of Culinary Technology) was a huge factor in my success. The culinary arts, hospitality and tourism management program pairs practical tools with professionalism, and it’s so convenient; you have the flexibility to work while completing your degree. The relationships I formed in the program have withstood the test of time; to this day, I still keep in contact with my classmates,” Ramon said.
“Our goal was to create a plan that includes every aspect of the college so all stakeholders can actively use it to fulfill our mission of transforming lives through affordable high-quality education,” Dr. Cioce said. “This plan will do more than sit on a shelf collecting dust. We will use it every day to help us guide Rowan College at Burlington County forward and improve the way we provide services to students and our community.”
