“We’re seeing Nursing students, medical students and faculty from both schools working side-by-side,” Dr. Coren said. “This is exactly what you hope to see. These teams working together to accomplish one goal, and that’s to get shots in arms.”
“It is our hope that the partnership of the City of Burlington Police Department, the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office and myself serve as an example for other police departments across Burlington County to follow! I truly thank Chief Fine, Detective Czajka and Prosecutor Coffina for all their continued efforts in this endeavor.”
“I do like the fact that a lot of my firsts were at RCBC, and the opportunities, field trips and book recommendations from my professors helped me to develop a passion for art,” Ballard shared.
“Most of the memorable experiences at RCBC were through my classes,” Klahn shared. “I found that it was really easy to form a relationship with my teachers since the classes weren’t that big. They really do try to help you both inside of their class and outside. I also liked how diverse the school was. Unlike a four-year school, quite a few people in my classes were coming back to school and trying to get a higher education for the first time after already being out in the workforce. It brought many broad and differing experiences that you can’t really find anywhere else.”
“I look forward to supporting the mission of Rowan College at Burlington County and to working with President Cioce and the board to help advance policies and priorities that support the needs of RCBC students who are working to improve their lives and communities,” Walton shared.
“Representation matters,” Dr. Salaam said. “There is a history that fuels this distrust of the medical profession, and I know for an absolute fact that the Black community is at a point where they want Black professionals. My most fervent hope is that the workforce will reflect the nation’s diversity.”
“Give Kids a Smile is a wonderful free service offered to children in our community. For some parents, it makes the difference between ensuring their child gets the dental care they need versus having to put it off due to lack of financial means or insurance,” Commissioner Hynes said. “It’s heartening to see such a valuable resource expanded during a time of great community need.”
“Through their low tuition rates and 3+1 programs, Rowan College at Burlington County offers the most affordable path to higher education for residents of Burlington County,” said Felicia Hopson, director of the Burlington County Board of County Commissioners, which appointed Dr. Wright as trustee. “As a longtime educator and innovator, we believe Dr. Wright will be a valuable resource at the college as we work toward our shared goal of increasing college access for all students.”
“I love it because it has opened so many different doors and opportunities for me and has taught me how to be a team player,” Reidenbaker shared. “One of my favorite memories was from when I was in fourth grade on my travel team, and no one wanted to play goalie. I jumped at the opportunity and fell in love with the position. It just came naturally to me. Since then, it's been my position and continues to be the reason I love to play competitively.”
