Choosing the right class format is easy if you know yourself! Consider your learning style, your ideal class location and your family situation.

RCBC offers many course formats to meet the needs of all learners:

On-Campus (Self-Service code: Location)

If you thrive on face-to-face interaction, this is the option for you!

Online Live (AKA Virtual Live - Self-Service code: VLC)

If you’re comfortable with the format of online classes but sometimes need an extra nudge to get you to the finish line, this is the option for you!

Online Any Time (AKA Online - Self-Service code: DLC)

If you work full-time, have kids who require your attention at home or live with someone who is immunocompromised, this is the option for you!

Hybrid (Self-Service code: HYB)

If you learn well both online and in-person and don’t mind coming to campus once in a while, this is the option for you!

Hybrid Mixed Mode (Self-Service code: HMM)

The other parts will vary depending on your course. The additional methods can include virtual class meetings or online with no required class meetings.

These courses are designed for hands-on learning and to provide flexibility to allow the most interaction with faculty in a socially-distanced environment.

HyFlex (Location: HyFlex)

HyFlex courses are available online and on-campus at the same time. Students choose whether to attend online or on-campus depending on what best fits their needs on a given day. You may switch back and forth throughout the semester. The HyFlex format gives students greater control over course engagement, with some students participating at the scheduled time through a video conference while others are in a classroom.

If you prefer face-to-face interaction but have work or family commitments that sometimes prevent you from coming to campus, this is a solution for you. (Look for HyFlex as the location.)

Interactive Video (Self-Service code: ITV)

Interactive Video allows students on the Mount Holly Campus to attend certain general ed courses being taught on the Mount Laurel Campus. Students in Mount Holly will attend in a designated room at a designated time and will be able to engage through a livestream with the professor and students in Mount Laurel.
