Tests taken in the testing center are for students with accommodations only. Students with accommodations must make an appointment with the test center to take their exam.
- To make an appointment, students must show their instructor their accommodations and contact their instructor to submit their exam to the Test Center electronically
- Once the exam is submitted to the test center, students will receive an email for each exam that is submitted to the test center to their RCBC student email account with a link to a form that they must fill out to make an appointment.
- Appointments must be made between Monday through Friday from 10 am – 4 pm and all exams must be finished by 4 pm.
- When students arrive at the test center, they must bring their RCBC student ID card and a copy of their accommodation letter.
RCBC uses Multiple Measures to determine the most appropriate placement for all entering students. Multiple Measures include factors such as high school coursework, high school GPA, highest level of coursework completed and standardized test scores including SAT, ACT, PARCC and ASVAB tests. Virtual placement test - Students who are unable to place via our multiple measures chart, or who would like to challenge their placement, can take our virtual English and Math placement tests. Email admissions@rcbc.edu to sign up for our virtual placement tests.

- Please note the TEAS exam will be required for spring 2022 admissions to the RCBC nursing program. For more information please review the Applying for the Program section of the nursing program website.
- We also administer this exam for other institutions that require the TEAS exam for acceptance into their nursing programs.
- Registration for the TEAS exam is done through the ATI website.

- SCANTRON provides testing and training design, development, and delivery services to certification and licensure organizations, corporations, educational institutions, government agencies, and trade and professional associations.

- CLEP exams may be taken for college credit toward certain courses.
- CLEP exams require a valid government-issued photo ID.
- Please call the test center at (856) 222-9311 ext. 1661 to schedule an appointment.
- Appointment times and dates are made on a case-by-case basis depending on other scheduled exams.
- RCBC Proctor Fee (non-refundable) is $30 for each test. This fee is a separate payment and payable to Rowan College at Burlington County. It can only be accepted at the RCBC Business Office with a proctor payment form. Download Proctor Examination(s) Form, and print three copies (1-Test Center, 2-Student, 3-Accounting). Take to the Business Office (Accounting) for payment. The form must be stamped by the Business Office prior to taking the CLEP exam. Submit the Test Center copy of the form along with your CLEP registration. You may also pay this fee online at Test Center Fee Payments.
- CLEP Fee is $89 and can be paid directly to CLEP by registering for an account at My Account Portal. CLEP testers can receive a 50 percent discount by entering CLEPFIFTY at checkout. Please see clep.org/clepfifty for more information.
Two tests may be taken during one session. Two forms of identification are preferred for admittance to the test session; bring at least one form of photo ID. Cell phones of any kind are not permitted. Report 10 minutes early.

- HESI Exams are required for some health science programs.
- Currently RCBC only requires the HESI for the HIT program and the HESI may be required only for recent high school graduates applying for the DHY program.
- The HESI exam we offer is specifically customized for RCBC programs. To take the HESI exam for another institution’s program, please email us at testing@rcbc.edu with the names of the sections you are required to take so that we may set up your exam for you.
- You will need to register for an Elsevier account and pay for the HESI exam along with a $30 RCBC proctor fee payment before making an appointment.
- The fee for the exam varies by program.
- A photo ID is required for the HESI exam

- Appointment times for HESI exams typically are:
- Monday through Friday: 12:45 pm
- Saturday: 11 am
- Please note: HESI exams are untimed, but testers will need to be finished by the Test Center closing times listed below.

- The ParaPro exam may be required for prospective teacher’s aides and other paraprofessionals.
- Please call the test center at (856) 222-9311, ext. 1661 to make an appointment.
- Appointment times for the ParaPro typically are:
- Monday through Thursday: 5 pm
- Friday: 1:30 pm
- Saturday: 11:30 am
- The ParaPro exam costs $55. There is a $30 RCBC Proctor fee.
- Payments will need to be made on the day of the exam using a debit/credit card.
- A valid government-issued photo ID is required for ParaPro testing.

- Prospective teachers may be required to take PRAXIS exams for licensure.
- You must register for PRAXIS exams ahead of time through ETS.
- To register and to find out more information about PRAXIS exams please go to ets.org/praxis.
- A valid government issued photo ID is required for PRAXIS testing.
- The RCBC Test Center requests that testers bring in printed-out copies of their admission tickets. This is a requested document for all PRAXIS exams to ensure the Test Center has accurate candidate data in addition to the online confirmation.

External tests are proctored by the Test Center to students who attend other Colleges or Universities. There is a fee for this service. You may contact a Test Center representative to schedule an appointment.

Cell Phones and All other Electronic Devices
Cell phones, PDA's, iPhone's, Mp3 players, pagers, Blackberry's or all other electronic devices are NOT PERMITTED in the Test Center. If your cell phone or other electronic device sounds while you are taking a test, or if you are found to have any unauthorized electronic device in your possession while testing, your test will be confiscated and the Office of Public Safety will be notified.
Calculators and PDA’s
We are aware of the increasing number of students using PDA’s. Since these devices are capable of storing almost any type of data, you are not allowed to use your PDA for any reason, not even as a calculator. If you are permitted to use a calculator for your test, obtain one before entering the Test Center.
Photo I.D. Policy
RCBC students are required to present their RCBC Student ID Card, with a current semester sticker for each term.
Prohibited Items:
- Cell Phones and all other Electronic Devices
- Digital watches (wrist or pocket), alarm watches, smart watches or wristwatch cameras
- Any kind of photographic or copying device
- Listening devices such as radios, media players with headphones, or recorders
- Dictionaries, books, pamphlets, or reference materials
- Papers of any kind. Scratch paper will be provided and collected by the Testing staff.
- Mechanical pencils or any type of pen or highlighter
- Slide rules, protractors, compasses, or rulers
- Food, beverages, or tobacco products
- Hats, hoods, and scarves (unless worn as a religious requirement)
- Any other unauthorized testing aids

- bluetooth and headphones
Lockers will be provided to secure items during your testing session. ALL prohibited items must be secured into a locker before proceeding into the Test Center.
IMPORTANT! Before you proceed, please ensure you are paying for the correct test. All Test Center fees are NON-REFUNDABLE. You must print and present your receipt to the Test Center in order to take your exam.
If you are not an RCBC student, please enter the last 4 digits of your social security number in the RCBC ID field.
In order to transfer Accuplacer scores you received at RCBC to another college please fill out the Assessment Score Transfer Request form and take it along with the $10 processing fee, to the Cashier's Office at the Mount Laurel campus. Once the fee has been paid, please bring the form to Test Center located in room 202 of the Student Success Center. Your scores will be sent out in five to seven business days.
