When raising her two sons, Ann McCollum always stressed the importance of a college education before she took her own advice and earned her degree at Rowan College at Burlington County in 2002.
While she was a student, she thought about working for the college, and five years after graduation she began working at the secretary to the Business and Career Development Center of the Mount Holly Campus. A year later, she began assisting the Director of Customized Training, and in 2013 she was named Coordinator of Customized Training. She is now the Program Delivery Manager with the Workforce Development Institute.
“The best thing about working at RCBC is that all the programs all tie back into our mission,” McCollum said. “I enjoy working with and meeting people who value education so highly. That’s what makes RCBC.”
“I am proud to be a part of RCBC’s 50-year history,” McCollum added.
Two years ago, McCollum’s hard work and willingness to go the extra mile to help students was recognized. She was named the college’s first employee of the year and had the added pleasure of receiving the news at the same time her son called with news that her second granddaughter, Adeline May, was born.
