Scott Finlay started his education at Rowan College at Burlington County with an interest in pursuing a career in the Pharmaceutical Industry. However, during his Biology and Chemistry classes, he daydreamed of branding a fashion line.

Although it wasn’t an easy decision for Scott to switch from Biology to Fashion, once he took his first fashion course in the spring 2019 semester, he realized his passion would become his lifelong career. As a Fashion Product Merchandising major, Scott was able to learn about the business side of the industry, while expressing his creativity in Fashion Research, Fashion Merchandising and Apparel Construction courses.

That same semester, as Scott prepared to graduate, he earned an academic award not only for his excellent grades but also for allowing himself to know that it’s okay to make a mistake, turn your life around and be successful. What better place than RCBC for Scott to have this opportunity and to share the celebration of his success?

Scott will enter the top U.S. Fashion Program Fashion Institute of Technology this fall 2020 to continue his studies in Fashion Business. The fashion department at RCBC considered it a lucky opportunity when he changed his major, and they look forward to following his success as he completes his degree at FIT.
