Mount Laurel – Thanks to a gift from the WSFS CARES Foundation, the charitable giving arm of WSFS Bank, several adult students seeking their high school equivalency diploma at Rowan College at Burlington County (RCBC) will have access to free training for a career in growing fields such as information technology, healthcare and business logistics.

The program, Prep for Success, will provide all students enrolled in RCBC’s Adult Basic Education program with access to enhanced career preparation resources such as career assessment and advising, workshops on resume writing, networking and interviewing skills, and access to free professional attire through a career closet.

Through the WSFS grant, several students will be eligible for free training that will lead to an industry-recognized certification in fields such as administrative services, healthcare, information technology and business logistics.

“Rowan College at Burlington County’s Prep for Success program embodies WSFS Bank’s vision of a day when everyone will thrive,” said Patrick J. Ward, Executive Vice President, Pennsylvania Market President at WSFS Bank and Chairman of the WSFS CARES Foundation. “There are strong links among unemployment, poverty and the lack of education. We believe this is a step closer for hardworking students to attain meaningful education to reach a thriving future for their families.”

RCBC’s Adult Basic Education program enrolls about 100 students annually, many of whom continue at the college after receiving their GED.

“This is a perfect example of how Rowan College at Burlington County strives to provide the resources people need to transform their lives and careers through education,” said RCBC President Dr. Michael A. Cioce. “Students in the Adult Basic Education Program are among the hardest-working and most inspirational at the college. I’m grateful for the WSFS CARES Foundation’s support of this community and look forward to seeing the impact of Prep for Success.”
